The Safer Gambling Standard
The Safer Gambling Standard replaces GamCare Certification. The Standard is a quality mark that recognises gambling operators who have both met and gone beyond the requirements of gambling industry Codes of Practice in respect of their player protection measures. E-Learning for gambling businesses
GamCare ExTra e-learning has been developed to assist professionals in the betting and gaming industry to better identify potential problem gambling behaviour and signpost to the most appropriate help and support.
The program contains four realistic customer contact scenarios designed to improve knowledge and understanding of social responsibility and player protection. The learner’s task it to:
- Identify behaviour which could indicate the customer may be experiencing harm
- Respond appropriately to the customer’s concerns
- Signpost to the appropriate support services
The package also allows managers to monitor and assess progress, and on completion the learner is awarded a personal GamCare Certificate of Achievement in Social Responsibility.
