When I found out about my husband’s gambling, I was in a state of shock and unsure where to turn. This is my story of how GamCare’s support helped me cope and start to move forward.
My first session with the Money Guidance Service came shortly after my first meeting with Nina.
I was introduced to Dawn who instantly put me at ease. With my permission, Nina had already spoken to Dawn to explain my situation which meant I didn’t have to tell my story again from the beginning.
My husband and I are now working together and have weekly meetings where we sit and talk about our finances. We’ve even managed to put some money aside to go away for the weekend, which I’d never thought would have been possible.
