Hope your ok Mixer.

Always remember that your recovery is your number one priority and if ever you feel like a rest than I am sure the 100 Day Club members will be there to offer support.

I am not setting a target date for now because my recent relapse has really knocked the stuffing out of me but as time moves on I will start to feel more positive.

Have never used arcades before so had only felt it necessary to self exclude from the casinos, betting shops and online sites but that proved to be a costly mistake.

But I was very impressed with the arcade in question as I went the next day to self exclude and the staff were very friendly, helpful and understanding. They did it on a tablet and took my photograph which all took less than 10 minutes and covered all betting establishments in the city for 12 months. I had to show them photo ID to prove who I was.

So I can't gamble online or anywhere within a 10 mile radius.

Wishing everyone a good day tomorrow

Stephen x

I am at around the 100 day mark - the last bet I remember putting on was just before payday in  the last week of October.   Hoping to never put another bet on in my life.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.  I am absolutely drained right now and getting some much needed rest.  My bedsheets are soaked but I'm sure I haven't wet myself (hopefully!).

I'll be back hopefully in a day or two meantime I hope and meantime I hope you all take care, too. (I'm looking forward to writing a mega-catchup post!)

Hi everyone. So sorry to hear  about you Stephen. You can start again and Learn from your mistake because that's what life is all about. I have been busy lately and not letting the Devil do is evil work is hard. I have not G****** for 102 days which I am very pleased and proud of. I have struggled in other ways as I have probly replaced G****** for drinking. This is not good. My next step is to cut down and then stop drinking as this will bring me back G*******. So I have a new job which has been a big worry in getting. I've not started it yet but I'm looking forward to regular hours. I need to start doing the simple things again and talking more about my stress in life. To be honest I've not told my wife or anyone about my relapse a 102 days and she doesn't no that I'm on this site. The thing that has kept me from G******** for 102 days is that she has control of all of our finances as last time I got caught destroying our life's. I also  banned myself from all bookies and I have never been in a casino or done online G********. Hope you feel better soon Mixer and hope all are doing well. Please can I have a new date of 1 year starting now Mixer or is this a bit to long to do what do people think? Thanks all for help and advice people. ?

Hi Changing habbit CONGRATULATIONS MATE , HORRAY WOOP WOOP 100 days successfully negotiated.  I too have previously been addicted to weed, ciggerrettes, alcohol and gambling who knows I might get addicted to salads and gym soon lol I can dream cant I.  But I gave them all up one by one so it can be done.  It's all about beaking the habbit.  Once its broken its just about making the right decisions every now and then when they come up (a bit like gambling urges I guess).  I haven't drunk since august 2018 and if I can manage it everyone can.  Its still a good time to stop drinking as not many going out at mo and I feel its become less sociable like smoking has become.  People are becoming more addicted to gym sessions these days and eating meals out to socialise or drinking coffees with friends.  All the best.  As mixers not about lets all just focus on continuing our new found love of gambling free life and all it holds.  lets cherish the here and now and leave our past behind.....

Great posts by members of the 100 Day Club who have been holding the fort during the absence of Mixer. May I join others in wishing him a speedy recovery.

It pleases me to read of the excellent progress being made by a many of our friends.

Some seem to find it a blessing to be free from g---ling whilst others are struggling to break free from its insidious influence but the one thing we all agree on is that g---ling has had a detrimental effect on our lives and needs to be banished.

I personally would have been 90 days GF today but in a moment of weakness I gave in to the temptation and am now back on day six but what is worse is the family problems that have arisen partly because I gambled but also because I requested a small loan from a family member to tide me over and that has caused a big problem. Things were said that cannot be unsaid and burnt bridges are now lying in ruins.

But life goes on and time is a great healer.

There were chinks in my armour but now I cannot g--ble in casinos, online or in any g---bling establishment within about a 10 mile radius from where I live.

Hopefully it has been a learning experience.

Stephen x

Hi Adam. Thanks for the wise words. January is the perfect time for me to give up the dreaded drink. I will take your advice and no alcohol yesterday so I am on day 2. Hope we keep motivating each other. All the best everyone.
