A big thankyou to DramaLlama & Changemylife for visiting my diary. I appreciate your kind words.

Today has been good. Had a coffee and a few laughs with friends and tonight went to see an Opera company rehearsing for some shows they are due to perform. It was about ghostly Christmas goings-on done in 3 parts and performed in rooms in a disused building dating back 170 years (very cold and very atmospheric.) I have never seen opera performed before but I was really impressed and it was easy to understand what was going on.

Not everything in life runs smoothly and sadly I had a disagreement with some people earlier on today. I know I was in the right so told them not to talk to me any more and that was the end of that. It did upset me at the time because I felt I had been betrayed but I have got over it now.

34 Days gamble free.

My life is like a bus and I am the driver who decides where we're going and who gets on.

The passengers can chatter away to their hearts content but I make the decisions and will always have the final word. When I say NO I mean NO.

Thank you Murlo and Lisa.

I have issued you both with bus passes to travel free of charge (to anywhere that takes your fancy) on the GamCare Gamble-Free Mystery Tour.

It might be a rocky ride so fasten your seat belts and hang on to your hats.

Well that is the mystery because it is a one day at a time bus company.

However, popular destinations are:

1/ Nocasinoville Market

2/ The Rafflefree Moors

3/ Slotfree By The Sea

Well I had a lovely evening at Cafe Gelato celebrating with a friend who has just got a new job.

What makes it noteworthy is my thoughts when I was putting my order in for coffee with a tasty desert. I was able to order it, secure in the the knowledge that it would not leave me short of money. That gave me a lot of satisfaction and also peace of mind.

My friend who has got the new job is joining me tomorrow afternoon at a dance workshop which should be a lot of fun. A few classes with different teachers and I imagine it will all be contemporary dance so I am really looking forward to it. I am 69 and my lungs and left foot do give me problems but I will give it my best shot. One thing's for sure I will keep smiling.

Ha ha thankyou Boo that brought a smile to my face.

Hello Diary

Great afternoon yesterday with plenty of dancing, a tasty buffet and a panel discussion around the subject of dance and how to get people more involved.

In the evening went to a performance by an opera company with a ghostly Christmas theme in a very old disused building. I had seen the dress rehearsal a couple of days ago and last night was lucky to buy a late cancellation ticket. It was in English and easy to follow and the small orchestra, actors and singing were absolutely  wonderful.

Going to a tenants & residents association christmas coffee morning at 10 than having a lazy day. Might go for a walk by the riverside and write on a few cards.

If anyone reads this, I hope you have a lovely weekend.
