Thank you, Stephen, for the lovely poetry; it was indeed lovely to see animals and birds in harmony with people on the Norfolk broads. Thank goodness they made it a protected area back in the 70s. The wildlife is flourishing.
And I'm glad to hear all is well with you Debsy! As we get deeper into our recovery, we gradually step away from remind ourselves about it so much and so it's natural that your visits here recede a little; so long as you are happy with your ongoing progress 🙂
Day 115. Just for today I've chosen not to gamble.
Day 1. I need to lose a bit of lockdown weight! Gone from 12st 12lb to 13st 6lb. Another challenge. Had a few grapes and a banana this morning. I will NOT snack today! Any tips ??!? 🙂

Losing weight is a minefield
Best approached with stealth
But benefits outweigh the pain
And optimise one's health
A breakfast of oats is nutritious
Making one feel full

Great advice received re, my extra Lockdown Lardage. I will try and get my oats Stephen (I should be so lucky, I'm married 😀 ).
And I will try to count my calories Debsy. Been fairly good today to aim to lose 1lb in the next couple of days. Nooooooooo snacking 🙂
Day 116 and great to have another focus. Still won't gamble though .... just for today.
Day 117. I've made a promise that today I won't gamble. Only today, That'll do.
Day 118. Another day where I choose not to gamble. Does it ever get 'boring' making this vow, afresh, every single day?
No, actually. Because it's a reminder of my obligations to me, my loved ones, my life and future. It's one silly, stupid, easy little promise that even I can keep for one day. Knowing the blocks are there helps too - I won't deny it. But whatever helps; that's what matters.
Day 119. Starting the day with a simple vow... I will not gamble, just for today.
