Do Im relatively new to the forums. I have been in the chat room a few times and read a few posts.
Honestly I feel online support is so much more useful to me than sitting in a GA meeting. For me life is so much more relaxing and stress free when I dont gamble. Right now my bills are paid, my overdraft is paid, I have 3 weeks of food in the cupboard and a little cash in the bank.
Im planning to go to Aldi when It opens at 8am to get a couple of bits, might even treat my self to a pizza! Dont want gambling in my life anymore and Im determined to remain gamble free one day at a time. Also dont want to drink anymore, not an alcaholic or anything just been on it recently and slowing that down too.
Probably update this thread in a week or so. see how I get on

Thank you for your reply. Today (well yesterday now) was a reasonably good day. Have got a few things done around the flat and generally been productive. No real thoughts of gambling, dont want to be in that horrible place anymore.
I want to take one day at a time and enjoy my recovery to a better way of life
Eek! I had bought a scratch card yesterday! So dumb I know. Ah well, new day one for me.

Though Id update my journey thread.
Went to the shops yesterday, and it was refreshing to walk out with my backpack and a second bag full of groceries, without any thoughts of 'this could of been part of my gambling budget'.
Also shopping a lot more on Ebay, bit of an ebay fan, you can find all kinds of weird and wonderful things on there. Noe real thoughts on gambling, might pop in the live chat rooms at 1, you know show my face.

Im enjoying my day so far. Hopped in the live chat yesterday and spoke to some regulars. The sun is out and really I should be going for a walk but im not in the mood, I went for a long walk yesterday.
My weight is really coming down the last few days too so im happy about that. This staying in social isolation is great, I can read books and watch YouTube videos without having any interruptions. No thoughts on gambling just living life and trying to support others on here where I can.
Also want to try and be a bit more pro active when it comes to updating my journey on here
