Ha ha ladies and gent you are an outstanding group of individuals. When I get paid on Friday I shall be venturing out to buy myself some new dusters! Perhaps even one on a stick to reach high places lol.

Dusters is perfect! Are you going to look at your statement too? Can’t believe I’m so excited to look at something that for years and years has made me feel so sick! I don’t hate myself anymore and it’s awesome:)

As part of my recovery I have handed all finances over to my partner. I no longer have a bank account to look at statements. Like you I never opened them. When my life came crashing down I took all unopened post to a professional shredding company. It was a part of my new me. We decided the past was the past. But I shall support you in looking over yours. I know that mine were up until the 5 th Oct 2018 mainly me moving money from a to b and online sites. Now we manage the finances together through one bank account that I do not have direct access too x

Marypoppins you were asking how to start your own diary.

1/ At the top of the diaries you will see a box marked 'New Topic' which you must press.

2/ You will than see a box marked 'Subject' in which you can give your diary a name. Below this is the large box marked 'Body' in which you can write whatever you wish and than press 'submit.'

3/If ever you wish to change something you have written, press 'Edit', change it and than press 'submit.'

I sincerely hope that we all discover peace and happiness as we venture forth on our gamble free adventures. We will of course need to make changes and that can be very challenging but will ultimately be worth while.

I am reminded of the words of another Mary Poppins who said:

"Open different doors. You may find a you in there that you never knew was yours."

Stephen x

Thanks for taking the time to read it sosad. It’s been a rough ride so far I’m not going to lie. But I have made progress on my journey and with blocks, this site, my partner, dmp and counselling I seem to be seeing some positivity. Still a long way to go, never getting complacent, I’m here for the long run with my high level duster lol

We have got a lot of catching up to do - it’s such an amazing achievement Sarah it really is. Hope you all have a lovely peaceful nights sleep. One of the things that I am noticing the most is that I am not waking up and thinking about playing, how to get money to play or feeling sick and disgusted because I have spent everything I have and need to pay bills. I feel liberated! Sosad- imagine when we get to post 100 days gf. Wow! I’m only on 10 and I feel great- can’t wait for more and more gf days to add up. Mop, bucket, wellies :)))

I always like to pay my way - I'm not a tight old meanie

Alas I don't have pockets in my dashing new mankini

I just can't spend no money but where will it all stop

I'll have to ask the Golden Girls with wellies, bucket, mop

Or maybe I could choose to ask young Sarah with the duster

She does seem rather pleasant and i'm sure that I could trust her

Or maybe Tracy might help me - She thinks well under pressure

Plus she has the ways and means to make the air seem fresher ...stephen x

We are all doing so well ladies! To be honest I'm kind of dreading the end of the month as well as excited - I just hope I don't screw up. One day at a time and all that.

Sosad I just reread your diary from the beginning and it’s really amazing . How dark everything seemed on 1/1 and now your laughing and looking forward to buying a mop. The positivity really shines through with your words.

We are all really doing this. Imagine what we can do with the money and all the time we gave to gambling. Won’t we be proud of ourselves and each other.

Stephen thanks for posting how to start a diary. I was ready to start one the other day and couldn’t figure it out. Mary P glad you asked. And Stephen love the mankini.
