My gambling is OVER. Today is the magical golden day from where I end the unbearable torment and self loathing. Gambling is a dead end. If you win, you feel confident and bet more. If you lose, you bet more! Its a full, abnormal illusion.
Please guys, let us all quit together and make the dirty gambling industry dry out! The government WILL not help us.

For those of you living a healthy life away from gambling, please post how your progression is, and how long you have been off gambling.

Hi, welcome to the diaries! I finally saw the light a week ago now, self excluded and am working on my registration with gamstop, I also spoke to some of the advice lines on here. It will be a week GF for me today, and whilst thinking of the money and the lies brings me down and gives me terrible anxiety I feel proud of the week so far... Reading the stories of others really is inspirational, and I recommend you spend some time doing that whenever you feel the urge.

Good luck! Keep posting here too.

Thanks for the reply, Lil30. I would love gamstop, but unfortunately I dont live in the UK. Feeling down today, but time will heal! Disgusted by the thought of gambling. The only thing that will make things spiral out of control is making that first dumb bet. Dont do that and we will be alright. Gambling is a total dead end. Nothing good is gained from it.

Today I am thinking a lot of my losses. It sucks... Im disgusted with the whole gambling industry.
One funny thing. I asked some time ago when I gambled if a site could unban my account as my self exclusion was up. They said no cause I asked them not to ever open it again. Operator said they took this kind of thing seriously. Are they f*****g kidding me? They RELY on addicts!! But to save face they say its serious. In the background they grind their palms with money dollars on their eyes. Those filthy executives. Hoping that gambling will be illegal soon. Its the worst risky business out there.

Im determined to stay gamble free. Its easy!! Just need to stay away from that first bet. Problem now is the thoughts of all that money gone. Well, it would be much more if continuing the gamble. Its a waste of money and unneccesary waste of heart beats!

Hi Root

Sometimes thinking about past losses can give us a stronger resolve to stop gambling, that horrible zombie state which lasts for days after a humongous loss. Keep up your chin you are doing great, never place that first bet and never question your decision to stop gambling.

Take care.

Shaun

Hi, friend Sean. I feel powerful today! I feel it in my bones. My stomach turns when I think about the evils of gambling. I have never gambled more than I could afford in these odd 8 years. But I have had 3 or 4 instances where I lost A LOT.... Still it adds up in all these years. And I could feel it now getting progressively more bad. If I continue, my monthly income will shrink by 1/2 every month. All the agony, suffering, self-pity.... There are 100 negatives and 0 advantages. No over reaction. DONT PLACE THAT FIRST BET! Thats ALL we need to do to stop. Simple as that! Wish you all the best, people.

You are absolutely right Sean. We have experienced it together.

Hi, Adam. Thats good to hear. You dont need this evil, it needs you. Just extinguish that monster in your body. If you lose, you lose. If you win, you lose. Its a dead end! Keep on going.

Cheers

Gambling is for suckers! Stay away and you will always have money! Dont, and you will forever chase losses. Win, and it is an illusion, because you will ALWAYS be down.

Take care everyone
