Well today should have been the 40th day of me not playing the slots, but it's not as I gave into the urges at first I was a couple of hundred up but then I lost that and quite a bit more.
So tomorrow it will be the start of another period of abstinence from the slot's one that will not end. Time to put some control measures in place, change my attitude and become more pro-active on stopping off the slots by finding other activities to fill me time up with and maybe get a few books ordered that might help.
It Looks like the rain has slowed down for a while, going to brave it and take the dog out for a bit.

Thanks holycrosser, going to be looking at all the self exclusion scheme's today and registering for them, I only have a problem with slots anyway although I have used FOBT, and Online slots before but do not usually play them, I much prefer the arcades.
Up bright and early as usual this morning, but with loads of thoughts. running through my head, why did I do it - I knew what was going to happen, but I did it anyway, feeling stupid, depressed and a little despondent, but I will not gamble today. To be honest the first few weeks after a loss is easy, it's usually after a month or so I start thinking about a quick punt and winning a few quid, telling myself it will be different this time, but it never is.
Well going to make the best of today, going to take dog for a good walk, come back have some breakfast & have a constructive day.

Well day one is over, and has been gamble free. When I woke up this morning I was planning on doing so much, but in reality I've done nothing constructive apart from extended my Gamstop ban to five years again, download form for sense & get the telephone numbers for other self exclude schemes that I will be phoning this week, would phone in morning but have a mate working with me tomorrow so can do without him hearing the conversations.

Wish I could have stayed in bed this morning, feeling ever so tired but I'm up and ready to get at em.
Really busy day, so will not have chance to gamble, not that I want to, still feel a little numb from last Saturday's exploits.

Another busy day so no chance of any gambling, blocked online ( But never really got into online slots for some reason, may be it's the way you have to wait to withdraw your money etc), will phone the other self exclusion lines if I get time, Bacta, bookmakers & bingo halls, got the forms for the casino one to fill out and send back.
my new book on gambling arrived the other day, looking forward to getting a chance to read it - the reviews are pretty good.

Seems like an eternity since I last played the slots, but in fact it's only a week today, got a few jobs todo this morning, then back home for a chilled day & a good walk out with the pooch this afternoon/evening time.
No real urges to gamble, just got to get focused in on my future plans, plans which would have come to fruition had it not been for me wasting my time, money & energy on those damned machines there I could easily get zoned out for the day, saying to myself it dosn't matter I'll stop tomorrow, but tomorrow never came.
Well tomorrow is finally here, I will never relapse, I can't or I will be destined to waste my life in the local arcades or "adult gaming centres" as they call themselves now, it really shows how much money they are making when they can open there doors 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and only have a handful of people in playing the machines.
Still got to self exclude from the place's but rather than go back to one to do this, I have emailed a few of the operating companies, who have said I can make arrangements to meet an area manager in a coffee shop to put to go through the process, would best much easier if you could do it all online, but perhaps that why they don't want it to be easy, so you go back and keep playing the machines.
Well time to go to work for a couple of hours.

Day 8
Still managing to stay off the slots, today would have been a day where they would have been calling & I'd have happily gone and wasted hundred's of pounds, but instead of that drive into town, today I went to a local country park/woodland and walked the dog for a couple of hours, so peaceful & gave me plenty of time to reflect on my past issues.
Day 9 - Still not had a punt on the slots, and 9 day's in, well there's 148 days left till new year - so my first target is to stay gamble free for the rest of the year, therefore that's 9 days out of a possible 157 gamble free.
Only just started feeling normal since my last relapse, I've either had a bug or a bad comedown/cold turkey from my last gambling session, felt tired all the time, my bones have all ached also had the death sweats whilst working .
