Stephen, sorry to hear you've had this experience. I wish you would keep one diary mate. Spare a thought for those of us following your journey. I don't mind if you slip. I just wanna follow your journey and be your recovery buddy.
I think you should self exclude from this place with the machines in. I don't go to the bookies but maybe when you have some pennies, buy the manager some doughnuts or cookies and then fill in the form. They won't forget your face if you buy them treats. Then you won't have to go through this again.
Love from Drama x
Thankyou Drama for your advice and encouragement. I always change my name and start a new diary when I have gambled. It makes me feel better.
The betting shops are a problem for me because in the past I have either travelled to other places where I was not self excluded or put a hat on and gone in places where I was. (I am self excluded from over 40 betting shops).
Anyway, I can live with it. My bills are paid and I don't need much to live on.
Wishing you a lovely weekend in Whitby.
Sitting with coffee in my gamble free flat
And very soon now I will put on my hat
To go for a walk where the two rivers meet
For it fills me with joy and is really a treat
Walking with purpose avoiding a stumble
A man on a mission - Stephen The Humble
Gamble free me welcomes day three although it is raining and dull
I've just had a breakfast of porridge with fruit so that now my tummy is full
Sunday it can be a funny old day but I'll smile and try not to grumble
A glint in my eye with a song on my lips says it all for Stephen The Humble
I'm pleased to hear you made it through the weekend gamble free. I did too! I was triggered walking on the seafront passed the arcades. I heard the Rainbow Riches music. It's an online game that I played alot when I was gambling and I felt all the emotions associated with it. I was with Hubby and our friends so there was never a question of me going in so i'm grateful for that.
I wanna keep on with my gamble free journey.
Thankyou for visiting my diary DramaLlama. I have just been reading about your weekend in Whitby and became quite engrossed. You certainly have a talent for writing and if you ever write your autobiography or a little story, I will definitely be at your book-signing. Glad you are back safe and sound and it seems like the holiday was enjoyable with nice walks and a bit of partying. Hope the dog has settled down now you are home and old grumpy chops is ok.
Hello Diary .....
Just had a tooth extracted so not a happy chap
Think I might just rest my head and have a little nap
No singing shouting or letting out a roar
But I am gamble free and today it is day four
Feeling fine the day is mine to do with as I please
The rain has stopped but cloudy with a cool and gentle breeze
Gamble free contentment needs not wealth or fame
'Cool Calm And Collected' is now my middle name
Hello Diary. Yihaaa Woohoo.
Some people don't make it to their 69th birthday but if I can make it through to midnight than I will be there.
Tomorrow I will also be celebrating 7 days Gamble Free.
Stephen The Humble is not one to grumble
Willing and able and ready to rumble
No more for me a ball & chain for I have cast it aside
From here on in I'll sing n dance and just enjoy the ride
Thank you DramaLlama you really are a star.
Happy 69th Birthday 'Stephen The Humble' and may I have many more.
I have decided to have a break from the diaries and send respect to all members of the GamCare community including Admin and I would also like to wish everyone contentment, fun and happy gamble free days.
It is seven days since I last gambled so maybe my time has come ......
God bless you all.
