It has been a real scorcher here in Hull and plenty of people by the waterfront. 

I overheard one of the ducks in the marina saying your glasses needed the lens replacing so hope you got that sorted out ok. (Very clever Hull Ducks ???).

Dear Scotty hope your are keeping well. I just read that you got caught out in the rain whilst walking the dogs ??? you Welsh blokes are certainly a tough breed.

I am fine thank you and the ducks send you their love and best wishes. It fascinates me because the ducks in the old dock are always rooting around in the weeds for food whereas the ducks in the marina just nonchalantly paddle between the boats and yachts in search of tasty treats. I remember a few months ago when the ducks in the marina were just cute little ducklings but they now paddle around like they own the place. They always make me smile.

At low water it is good to watch all the birds feeding on the mud banks where the River Hull joins the River Humber. I read that there are 130,000 birds which visit the Humber estuary every year to feed on worms, shrimps and snails.

Watched 4 cruise boats leave last Sunday heading for Grimsby and than down the coast to Norfolk. Well they happened to return to Hull tonight so I watched them come through the lock and into the marina. That was fun and I chatted with one of the crew while they were in the lock.

I am no longer keeping a diary but will follow your progress with interest and my thoughts will often stray to your good self along with Vinnie, Lively and all the other wonderful people who visit the diaries and chatroom.

just popped by to say thank you for posting your lovely messages on my diary - they’re very much appreciated. So proud of you scotty that you’ve gone past the 150 day mark - it starts to add up quickly and so happy how we are all making such fantastic progress - the inbetweeners dance crew named by Stephen consisting of Vinnie, me and Stephen as the lead dancer ? and banana man (scotty). I have so many good memories from conversations in chat. Lots that make me smile - cheesecake and bananas will stick with me for the rest of my days. Who would have ever thought that strangers could have such an impact on our lives.

Hi all thanks posting on my diary not been on chat this week me and Mrs S have had some bad news can’t say I need to get my head round it I hope I can stay strong I have not gamble but this making want too I thought I got over them feelings I use to be so strong now a weak man family better off with out me take me away ??
