A beautiful song sung as only Elvis could sing it but it reminded me that I will be alone again tonight. I do like living alone but to be honest, I do occasionally get a little bit lonely.

Great day enjoying the sunshine. My life now is so much more relaxed and a lot more fun.
Lunch in my favourite cafe and afterwards on the marina pleasantly surprised to meet a couple of old friends I hadn't seen for a long time so we went for a coffee and had a real good catch up.
I have been gamble free for a good length of time and am now reaping the benefits.

I am saddened to think of you suffering so much due to your compulsion to gamble.
You lost someone close and the addiction came along masquerading as your friend but it wasn't your friend at all and has only expounded your misery.
I do hope that you get in touch with gamcare to talk over the difficulties you are experiencing and maybe use the helpline to discuss what help us available to you. I feel that keeping a diary helps me and gamcare arranged counselling which was very beneficial whilst some people find that just having a chat with an advisor can be helpful.
You are unique and very special dear friend. Your life should be an adventure with you in the driving seat. So many things to do, places to go and people to meet. You will have ups and downs on your adventure but that is all part of life's rich tapestry.

It is a pleasant day here in Hull. A fine and cloudy day is forecast so looking forward to visiting the ducks whilst admiring the yachts in the marina. Will have a nice stroll around the waterfront and hopefully have a bit of fun and a few laughs along the way. Might visit the Humber Street Gallery again for a cuppa and admire the new art exhibition which I looked at yesterday. Very inspiring plus the free admission appeals to me ???.

Morning diary. A beautiful sunny day in Hull so looking forward to getting out and about after the GP rings me regarding my frozen shoulder pain.
Visited an art gallery yesterday which featured a large abstract painting with a theme of tree roots. The artist invites people to add things to the painting regarding our relationship with nature so next visit I am going to add the following poem I wrote. Done it in different colours so it looks arty ???:
Tears of trees & hedgerows draining into streams
Brutality of humans has shattered all their dreams
The Humber keeps on flowing
Rounding mud banks in a loop
Our once proud waterway alas is now a plastic soup
So people everywhere please stop the devastation
Threatening the beauty of our green and pleasant nation
