Morning.

Midweek already.

Sunny here. Not a lot to say. Busy at work. Still gf.

I would love to see an end to this like the rest of the world.. Glimmers of hope are given about the virus..

Anyway. All have a good day

I will pop into chat at some point.

Hello diary.

Felt unsettled late yesterday. Think it's the nature of the beast this virus. It's unsettling everyone's pattern of life.

Today cooler here.

Becsuse I'm less active at the mo. Am staying up late. Really noticing the vast amount of gambling adverts on. Hope people aren't being lured.

All for now

Afternoon.

Been lapsing on my diary but with so litte going on. Little to tell.

Anyway gf still.

Went for a stroll today. Before that tesco. A tad too busy for my liking but groceries needed so was as sharp about it ad I could he and soon home.

Chat at 1pm was relaxing. Everyone seems to be coping OK and they know where there support lies too.

I want this to end like everyone. And spare the heartbreak too.

Let's keep our own respective faiths on this and stay strong.

Till later

Morning.

I'm going to do a 2.62 run today as it's officially marathon day so we are linking up via technology with running club.

I expect rain today but we have to go with the flow.

I expect yo watch a news bulletin today or read a paper. This virus is still the dominant headline. Wishing it so much to go away.

Gf still. Lots of late night ads on about gambling not to my liking but I just hope they don't test online gamblers too much. In usual times would be in bed but with routine change re virus I seem to head for bed a bit later now

My sleep was restless last night but I expect I'm in a majority at the mo with that one. I'm tired but with thinking and processing all the news each day. But not an having been to work worn myself out tired. Lots of norms changing at the mo which I expect everyone is adapting to.

So.. Will get a wiggle on and start this day

Stay safe all

Morning.

I don't know how many days g f I am just know I am over 6 months. That feels good

Not so bright out today. I have to go to work to sort a computer thing out. After thst it's back home to do routine stuff.

I slept well last night. Just need to keep a tight watch on calorie intake. Seems less being used but more going In and on.. ?

I'll watch my one daily news feed at some point today. Thats manageable otherwise my mind flips cartwheels and I get unsettled. Overthinking is not what is best at the moment. i have been popping into 1pm chat leaving 8pm because I can settle into the evening. Sometimes the pm chats can be too busy.

All for now

Take care

Boo???

Good Morning Boo,

Thanks for your comments on my diary.

Well done on being over six months gambling free. That is an excellent achievement.

I had a slight pull on my hamstring yesterday while taking my son on some speed work. Ran more than 2 miles to a point and then started doing 6 x 400m fast runs and my hamstring went on the 5th run. Disappointed with this. From the waist down I have muscle problems due to years of wear and tear in football. I’ll not be able to run for 4 or 5 days then it’ll be slow runs for a bit. I’ll miss this terribly over the next few days.

Anyway, I know this lockdown is tough but it’ll not be long until life begins to return to normal. We’ve got to keep going through this difficult time and when we come out the other side we can be proud that we coped and got through it without turning to gambling.

I always read your diary and your references to chat and how important that this is to you. It’s something that I’ve never tried. I’m unsure how it works. Is it actually talking within a group or is it typed interaction? I’ll maybe try one day.

I can relate to your comments about calories and too much going in. I fight with this most days. Some days very good but others very bad. Its challenging being disciplined in the current situation we find ourselves in.

You take care and keep your chin up.

Hi Boo and RR

Well done both of you on the running!

I just wanted to quickly answer RR's question about the chatroom. Yes, it is typed interaction. There's on average about a dozen people in the room at one time, sometimes more, sometimes less. You can see the names of everyone in the room down the left, and on the right, you can see what others have posted. It's more private than the forum, and in general we try to keep it that what's said in the chatroom stays in the chatroom.

Here's the chatroom schedule:

  • General Chatroom: Every day at 1pm and 8pm.
  • Chatroom for family and friends who are affected by a loved one’s gambling: Thursdays at 9:30pm.
  • Chatroom run by Peer Aid: Tuesdays at 3pm, Wednesdays at 10am, Fridays at 10am and Fridays at 3pm. Peer Aid is a volunteer peer support service, provided by individuals with lived experience of gambling harms.

Get the full details here:

https://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-support/group-chatroom/

If you want to try it out, the 1pm rooms are usually quieter.

Best wishes

Thank you Stephen for the diary.

Goodmorning midweek.

Feeling OK after a heavy sleep. Don't know about anyone else but this inactivity during lockdown is making me ache.

Still gf.

I did hear on the news the other night about the ban of gsmbling adds at this time but they're still showing. Maybe it takes time to initiate a new schedule.  It's worth waiting for anyway. The more help. Our there the better. They don't trigger me but they do aggravate me as I think of the potential consequences to others

Today will be cleaning. I will have a walk and stretch my limbs today even though if could rain by the grey clouds I see.

Like everyone I await Good news on the virus. It can't come quick enough.

Hope all on  here are safe and well and coping

Until laters

Good morning Boo and a big thank you for visiting my diary. The three little ducks brought a big smile to my face.

Sorry to read that you are aching ?. I know you are a healthy lady who enjoys running in the park but I am wondering if you might benefit from some gentle yoga and pilate exercises. Nothing like a good stretch plus toning up of the core muscles whilst breathing life into all the little nooks and crannies.

Wishing you peace, happiness and jolly adventures.

A late entry today.

Weather wet n a tad chilly.

Still gf.

Still wanting this virus to leave us all alone but we have to be patient.

Although the weeks have been slow they too have passed quickly too if thst makes sense.

My general mood is like everyone else's. Mixed emotions. Finding things to occupy me. But sometimes there are periods of slipping into low mood. I find coming here saying it on paper helps.

Anyway till later all.

Stay safe

Afternoon.

Hope all is OK with everyone.

Lockdown still but we will get to an end.

1pm chat was nice today. Not nice is the anxieties people have. Nice is the support.

I'm relaxing. Watching two war films back to back. Operation daybreak and a bridge too far.. That'll keep me good.

Until later

Boo ???

Boo,

Enjoy those movies. If you watch two movies back to back is it ok to have two family size packets of Doritos? Just wondering. Doritos and dips with movies = blissful happiness.

Good afternoon

Well it's gorgeous weather.

I popped into chat earlier. Lovely it was too. Old and New names and voices. I had a horrible gambling dream couple nights ago. First one in an age. It fair winded me. The element of surprise. Sly gambling at its worst.

7 months back in times of anxiety I would have gambled. These few weeks have been just that and I know gambling came into my dream to taunt me..  Kicked it well into the long grass

I'm ok today.. Tired sometimes but its everything thats going on.. Still will wait for some joy on Sunday from Boris maybe.

Stay safe all

Boo
