Here we go again boom boom. Ground hog day again. Not sure how I’ve managed to spend approx £1000 in a few weeks but then when I look at bank statement and there’s deposit after deposit of £100 then I realise. I realised this time that I become taken away from reality as I am so focused on chasing losses - you’d think I’d realise by now that you never recoup. And if you do in my case I just up my wager and blow it anyway. Trying to stop gambling at the same time as trying g to eat more healthily is not working out well for me as I don’t feel on top of either. But I will take it a day at a time. Focus on my family. Enjoy spending money on them rather chucking it away online. Life as it is must change. Xx

Hi Annie, I’d recommend GamStop if your problem is online gambling. It completely cuts that avenue of gambling and is a big reason why a lot of people on here continue to be gamble free, despite the inevitable urges. It does work.

Totally agree, don’t know your story from the start but you must show you are totally committed to stopping. When you have no avenues to bet online it really helps. You have to stop gambling and get back to what normal folk do, all very easy to say but in truth it has to start that way, only you can do this , there’s lots of advice but you have to be 100% wanting to do this.

good luck

Hi Annie,

You sound very similar to me, I've just signed up after stopping a few times in the past. Same circle of win, lose, spend more and then feel/guilty depressed that you could have spent that money on kids.  Im always mortified any time I call the bank due to all the deposits, think that says it all :/ Good luck x
