Good evening Lou Lou and well done on starting off this topic which has proved to be very popular. I have just enjoyed re-reading the posts and found them all very interesting.

We are all compulsive gamblers striving to overcome gambling addiction but I can plainly see that we are also individuals with our own story to tell and we all have different outlooks on recovery and life in general.

It has also prompted me to try and make the following self improvements:

1/ Not to judge or condemn others for not behaving as I do.

2/ Showing more respect and trying to look at things from other peoples point of view

3/ And will try to work on my feelings of tolerance, compassion and understanding.

Wishing everyone a peaceful, contented and joyful Sunday.

Stephen x

It is good to get different advice and opinions from the many people on here even if it differs from our own. We can pick out what we want or leave it and do our own thing. That's the beauty of having a chat group.

Day 53 in my recovery

The last 2 days have been a real struggle..I'm struggling with my head so much. To the point I did consider gambling as a form of self harm for release today even though I didnt. I know it doesnt make sense but when it feels so intense and you cant cope it feels their is limited options to calm down.

Congratulations Lou Lou on 53 days gamble free.

Please please please do not entertain any thoughts of gambling for whatever reason.

In 25 days time you want to be relaxed and at ease when celebrating Christmas with your family and the "wrapping paper munching" dogs ???. That still brings a smile to my face.

Night night

Sweet dreams
