just a quick update i gambled again for about 2 months after this post but i signed up to gamstop one month ago and now have every gambling site blocked for the next 6 months which will start my recovery now, it got alot worse as i took out multiple payday loans before i had the balls to sign up to gamstop, about £1500 owed, which i will be paying off for the next couple of months now, but could also be worse i suppose and atleast now the sites are blocked for a minimum of 6 months so i cant gamble even if i wanted too.

Hi

The addictions were a form of escape for me.

Once I understood my emotional triggers it helped me lots.

It was very difficult for me to hand over all finances to my wife.

I felt like I was being treated like a naughty child.

The truth was I could not trust myself with money.

By having a daily amount on me which was about 10.00 and that covered my basic needs during the day.

In time I got honest with myself and got honest with people who knew me.

Recovery and healing took some considerable time.

The ideal situation is to be completely emotionally detached from all feelings and emotions towards Gambling.

All the best with your recovery.
