Hello all fellow addicts,
I feel these forums will help me a lot, although I may not post much.
From reading many stories on here over the past couple of days I have realised many many people are exactly as I am, I always thought it was just me who had such a serious addiction and the feelings that come along with it. But even knowing there are many people out there who suffer from this evil addiction brings a little hope to me that I can succeed in giving up for good when I see people having given up for anywhere from 1 week to 10 years. If one addict can do it then why can't I or you. I see it as a challenge to get my life back on course and live as I did pre gambling, that was many years ago. I am 30 and have gambled around 14 years, the last 7 odd years none stop every cent loads of debt the usual. But I feel very optimistic

i love the passion in your post and can sense you really want this, as debsy said everyone is at different stages but albeit all been there done that and fighting same demons!!

Thank you both for the kind comments and support, it's so sad to see how many people are in this debilitating position. There is always hope for a better future, I will see myself on here a lot reading and taking in information and success stories to inspire me to make a great life for myself slowly but surely. I actually despise gambling now more than ever from reading the many posts on here. I wish everyone great happieness all we have to do is give it our best shot and be proud one day at a time.

These forums helped me a lot since I joined a little while ago. Keep up the effort and log in to here occassionally to read some stories and share some input - I've found it really helps me keep on track and bring myself back to reality! (60 days ish GF so far).

Yes, My first language is Arabic.
But, I'll try to understand your posts/comments, even use online translators.
