Don't know where to start

Like I said, I don't know where to start. I don't know when I started gambling or how it got so out of control and I don't know why I do it but every time money arrives in my bank account it's gone, usually within an hour, and it's starting to ruin my life. I have two young girls and they're missing out on things and it's all my fault. My husband has noticed now that our money is gone, I'm about 10k in debt which could be a lot worse and I'm surprised it isn't! But it's still a lot of money and a massive strain on my mental health. I don't want to lose my family to this and when I write it down I see how ridiculous it all is and I know that I should just stop but if it was that easy then I wouldn't be here. Any advice on where or how to start would be much appreciated!

Thanks x

Hi JW. Well done for admitting that there's a problem.

You need to talk to your husband. It's better to ask for help than him just find out. Having his support will also help you during your recovery.

Sign up to GamStop, download GamBan and put gambling blocks on your debit and credit cards. These will all help you on your journey.

Remember, you aren't a bad person. You're unwell and asking for help. Take one step at a time and one day at a time. Every day without gambling is a success and you should be proud.
