Blocking software

I haven't done it yet but I will be in the process of doing it next week. Have you tried to contact your bank to see if they can stop any kind of gambling transaction? Just an idea if you haven't got it in place already

Yes they have blocked gambling sites however some gambling companies use shopping websites to make gambling transactions and therefore these are not blocked unfortunately 

What about k9? That worked when I had iPhone in the past!

Yes your openness and loving support is a more important foundation stone. They will develop a sixth sense if you have been up to any gambling. Thats not a problem...you should feel a sense of relief as its far better than the new lows a gambling addiction had in store for you

When truly ready you will be talking to them about feelings and any desires to gamble. It may have to be that you are bought an android phone or even an old style phone without a touch internet screen. Yes its that serious so please make no mistake about that

Gamban and other blockers are tools for the job...they are not the most important factors, For safety someone needs an eye on what you are doing with gadgets. It may be that you have to give up gadgets for a while....that us something you discuss with your support network

Your honesty is key and restricting any access to money that you can do harm to yourself with. You should realise that money hasnt been much good to you until you prove yourself and heal from this.

Hi pob hope you are doing ok I have successfully registered with gam stop today. I was never able to before due an issue with apple but I sent photos of my documents and they have done it today hope this helps

Gamban have confirmed to us that it's a known issue with iOS devices, due to Apple's operating system. They are working on alternative solutions. They also encourage you to email them to explore the issue further if you haven't already. 

Someone above mentioned K9 - unfortunately K9 is no longer available. We do list several alternatives at our website https://www.gamcare.org.uk/self-help/blocking-software/ .

If anyone else with iOS device has any feedback about options that have worked for them please do post it here.
