Outreach and Training: Leeds Community Gambling Service
The Leeds Community Gambling Service is the first integrated service of its type in the Great Britain, and is a partnership between GamCare, the NHS Northern Gambling Service and NECA.
As well as offering information, advice and support for individuals, families and communities affected by gambling or related harms across Leeds and the surrounding area, GamCare provide a range of outreach and training services to the local community.
Many services would appreciate greater knowledge of how to spot warning signs of someone affected by gambling harms and ensure that those affected get the right support, and that’s where our services can help. Get in touch to find out more about:
- Early interventions – engagement work with the local community and targeted support for at-risk groups that prevent issues from escalating
- Support across the criminal justice system – engagement and joint working with police, prisons and probation services.
- Education and prevention – workshops for young people and training for professionals delivered by our Youth Outreach team.
- Free, bespoke training – awareness raising services for Leeds and the surrounding area.
