Well done on moving into your second gamble-free month boro!

I really do think it will help you massively to abstain from all forms of gambling, as they all trigger the same urges in the brain. I've encountered very few if any gamblers who can successfully do "controlled gambling".

But, the future will take care of itself - just stay within the day :-)

Take care,

F x

Good man. I fully agree with you that one of the worst parts of the aftermath of what gambling has done to us is not being able to spend the money on our kids that they deserve. Its heartbreaking, but we have to hang in there believing that if we abstain the future is bright and we can be the dads our kids deserve.

Boro you've been on this site as long as I have and I see so many similarities. The long spells off gambling the despair of debt pressures. I've messed up twice recently that has put me back to square 1. I realise even when winning gambling I didn't appreciate the money - rather than withdraw all I'd syphon bits off, always thinking a few days of bets ahead, keeping the majority in some strange belief it would be easier to build up more and quicker and get debt free. Instead I lost and chased. I've been there too many times. Now I just want distance between me and my last gamble. We've gone months before so there's no reason not to do it again. Well done on the 1st month :-)

feeling really positive that I have finally realised that I can,t gamble. I never beat it, but keeping away from any form of gambling will not make me go in a trance were all I want to do is have that next spin on the roulette and will not stop until I have won or lost all me money

Thanks for your kind words Graeme

You have past the 50 day mark well done
I am finding now I am thinking more about the debt than gambling and this can be dangerous because this is when the addiction can suck us back in
Stay focused and strong keep going, the debt will only go down as long as we abstain and maintain
