New multi-operator self-exclusion schemes launched

4th March 2016

New multi-operator self-exclusion schemes have launched for the land-based betting and bingo sectors this week, making it easier for people experiencing problems with gambling to exclude themselves from more than one venue simultaneously.

Anyone who wishes to exclude themselves from multiple betting or bingo venues in the UK can now do so more easily, thanks to schemes launched by the Association of British Bookmakers and The Bingo Association this week.

Dirk Hansen, Chief Executive, GamCare says: “GamCare welcomes these initiatives to make the process of self-exclusion easier to access for individuals who are experiencing problems with gambling. Self-exclusion can be an important first step to getting gambling issues under control, and additional support is available through the National Gambling HelpLine and our Counselling Services.”

These new self-exclusion programmes join the Casino 'SENSE' scheme to help individuals to exclude themselves from land based UK casinos.
