Government Review Gaming Machines and Social Responsibility Measures

26th October 2016

The Minister for Culture, Media and Sport, Tracey Crouch, launched a Review of Gaming Machines and Social Responsibility Measures this week.

This review will seek evidence about the appropriate maximum stakes and prizes for gaming machines across all licensed premises, as well as the number and location of gaming machines and the social responsibility measures required to protect players from gambling-related harm. This includes any evidence about the impacts of gambling advertising and whether the right rules are in place to protect children and vulnerable people.

The call for evidence period will close on 4 December, following which Government will consider evidence provided. Read more on the Gambling Commission website.
