GamCare Announces Further Expansion Of Counselling Services

1st February 2013

GamCare is today announcing further service expansion into Sheffield and Hull with treatment partner Krysallis, the reintroduction of services into the Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties area with treatment partner Aquarius and Milton Keynes with treatment partner Options Counselling.

The GamCare network of treatment partners provides treatment across Great Britain for those who need sustained help to deal with their gambling problems. Krysallis, Aquarius and Options Counselling provide face-to-face counselling services for anyone experiencing gambling problems.

Patrick Lund, Director, Krysallis said:

“I am thrilled that Krysallis and GamCare are able to develop vital face-to-face support for anyone living in the Sheffield and Hull regions who are affected by problem gambling. Especially where huge debts are incurred, the stress and worry can distress the whole family. Our qualified and experienced counsellors have had the additional benefit of GamCare’s specialised training to help them better understand the particular issues faced by problem gamblers and their families. I’m delighted that together we’re making this specialist service available.”

Helen Garratt, Practice Development Manager, Aquarius said:

“Aquarius, working in partnership with GamCare, are pleased to announce the reintroduction of counselling and support services to anyone in the Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties area who are concerned about their own, or are affected by someone else’s gambling.”

Nikki Keeley, Director, Options Counselling said:

“GamCare has once again come up trumps. The new funding from GamCare will enable us to provide much needed support services to problem gamblers and those affected in the Milton Keynes area. We really appreciate the support of GamCare and look forward to opening this new service.”
