Frontline Service Senior Advisers (Home Based, UK)
Salary £25,000 - £28,000
35 hours per week

GamCare operate the National Gambling HelpLine to provide information, advice and support for anyone affected by problem gambling as well as providing free treatment across England, Scotland and Wales.

GamCare is now looking to recruit Frontline Senior Advisers on a full-time basis to work across our support services.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deputising for the Team Leader
  • Supporting with call quality assurance activities;
  • Providing empathic advice and support to callers via our Freephone HelpLine and web chat NetLine;
  • Identifying appropriate clinical and non-clinical support including referral and signposting to other services;
  • Undertaking Brief and Extended Brief Interventions;
  • Ensuring safeguarding issues are managed effectively;
  • Moderating our online Forum and Chatrooms.

You should have previous experience of working within a clinical setting and/or Helpline. You should have excellent ICT skills. Training, supervision and a full CPD-programme is offered to Senior Advisers.

The role is home-based; however, you will be required to attend training and update sessions in our offices in London. You will need to have a modern ICT set-up at home and access to an appropriate environment to deliver confidential support. 

We operate the National Gambling HelpLine between 8am – Midnight, every day. We are looking for people to work flexibly across several shifts, including weekend and evening work on a regular basis.

You will form part of an enthusiastic team working and committed to supporting those affected by problem gambling across Great Britain.

Team Leader – Clinical Services (London)
Salary £32,000
Full time 35hrs

GamCare is the leading national provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by problem gambling. Our services include face-to-face, online and telephone treatment, which can be accessed individually or as a group.

We are delighted to be seeking a full time Team Leader for our busy London Treatment Service. This position is integral in the leadership and management of the team in delivering effective, safe and responsive interventions to people experiencing problems with gambling and people affected by another person’s gambling.

This role requires applicants to:

  • Provide effective day to day operational management of the service
  • Provide strong leadership and individual supervision to staff
  • Provide clinical expertise
  • Be able to perform well in a busy and demanding working environment
  • Have a good understanding of performance management, case management and quality assurance measures
  • Be well organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Be passionate in ensuring service users are at the heart of what we do

The Team Leader reports to the Head of Clinical Services and will be pivotal in leading and delivering a first-class service.

This position will require some evening and weekend work.
