Wanted to share with you my first week of not gambling:

Monday - determined im going to do this as many times ive wanted too but carried it out... Started on here reading some inspiring stories
Tuesday - Installed Gamban on all my devices and found myself doing anything but watch football as that is normally the urge to bet

Wednesday -Β  Work kept me busy so could not think of anything else.. also went for a walk late on the night
Thursday - Good day, no thoughts of wanting to gamble and spent a bit of time on PS4 after work which kept me occupied
Friday - Strange one.. as i was already worried about the saturday coming up and how i was going to handle it, managed Friday well with spending time with the family watching TV
Saturday - Woke up with the mindset - NO GAMBLING TODAY! i kept thinking of the other ways i could spend my money.. this took us too looking at upcoming holidays, watched 1st half chelsea game at noon noticed i wasnt intrested in at all.. due to not betting on it i suppose, so 2 pm came... Got me daughter and took her and her cousin to the park for a good 2 hours.. to me it felt great knowing i wasnt sinking in to me settee watching Jeff and the boys losing Β£10/Β£20's every hour... Saturday night Watched liverpool game and enjoyed it as a whole for the game itsself with no urges... Saturday done πŸ™‚
Sunday - Not going to lie tough tough day, Food shop on the morning , Mrs not well with toothache, Me & Daughter went out on Bike ride at noon (maybe this was too early) go back and watched the footy from 2 onwards, dont get me wrong i was thinking bout betting but i normally do this particular bet on any match i watch so was hoping it wasnt going to come in so that kept me interested in a way hoping it wasnt coming in.. and it didnt - Result! Boring day all in all sunday need to space my activities out...
And this morning felt great.. no dredd that i had lost allsorts of money over weekend even managed a 5k hopefully i can become addicted to exercise now...

Any first timers reading this..... install Gamban! this is a great tool..
PS is there were a do a diary? couldnt find where so just put it here..

Good luck everyone

great stuff well done , im same finding in my early days just keeping busy main thing.Im trying to think about wifeΒ  and daughter and focus on them and making them happy , rather than feeling sorr for myself.Although we obviously all get challenging thoughts and feelings each day.Just got to battle through it , my family needs best version of me .Well done on the walking too , i find that helps to clear head and excersise, well done keep it going :).

Congratulations Spuggy. Feel the energy reading your post and you should be proud. You had one busy week and much busier than most people I know, who would have thought you are in recovery?! Good on you and this is a success story waiting to happen. Keep those blocks in place, keep planning ahead and enjoy being set free. You are a winner if you don’t gamble. Simple as that. Keep us updated with your progress
