A new month began yesterday, and already i feel like i have an opportunity to make a new start for myself.

Feeling really good, focussed and strong.

Just checking in on myself.

Im winning by not taking part.

These blocks (especially in the shops) seem so obvious now.

Only a fortnight in and not counting the days.....had the realisation there is no end number so why count?

Many other mountains to cross in my life, but this one i have in check.

I want to be the very best me i can be.

Two weeks in.......loving being free of this burden.

I'm simply not going back there!

What a burden to not have on my shoulders over the last couple of weeks.

With determination and the correct blocks in place...there is a better life.

Stress, worry, guilt, anger, self-loathing are all replaced with a sense of worth and pride.

Loving being free.

Three weeks have passed without any pain or wobbles.

Open talking about my addiction has been very therapeutic, it's not something that needs to be hidden from friends and loved ones.

Off on a little week's break on Wednesday with cash in the bank that would not otherwise have been there.

Winning by not taking part.

Ssb you're going good. When my husband found out it was really awful but now looking back was the best thing to happen. When I was hiding I was unable to address my addiction it got worse and worse , addiction feeds on the secrecy. No more secrets, lies, deception helps with dealing with the addiction and living in recovery. Enjoy the fruits of recovery, never let your guard down !!

Thank You Charlieboy.

My guard is well and truly up, and I plan to keep it that way!

Dropped well over a stone in weight in last 6 weeks.....not messing about it's a full lifestyle change I desire.

Loving how I am feeling, and plan to make the most of what I have.

Thank you for the kind and supportive comments, they really are appreciated.

Since stopping I have already received two job offers and managed a week in the sunshine.

Things are really starting to happen for me again.

My gambling was, as it always has been a reaction to challenges in my life.

Strange logic really - Things are not going well so I know what - I'll give myself some extra stress and pain!

When challenges come in future (as life always has a few), ill be ready and aware.

I refuse to go back to that place.

I'm starting to believe, i'm starting to see.

I can be everything I aspire to be.

Realise my weaknesses and keep my strength within.

Not a penny gambled, and because of that I win.

Feeling so strong and so refreshed.

I cannot gamble and I wont gamble - It (for me) is as simple as that.

Have a great week all - This is beatable.
