Have you given the Gamcare advisers a call or found an online ga meeting?

Other than on here have you actually talked to anyone and been able to identity with someone else?

You said you had been three years off a bet so you can clearly do it. What changed?

For me a relapse after a long time of abstinence came after a difficult personal situation came up and I didn't cope with it. I made some excuse for escaping back into gambling. Sounds like you might be doing the same and might need to address the thing that went wrong?

Chris.

Hey man. Sorry your going thought a bad time. And your having a few bounce backs

I ask the same question as Chris. Bar covid has anything happened in life that’s changed and made you gamble? Loss of job ect?

i understand you sometimes you can’t talk to parents and the shame or just feel you be judged or in your case you don’t feel she will care etc

my family are brilliant but they are very old fashioned and would of judged me so I had to do a lot with myself.

personally I think 2 things you need to have a good think about, 1 being sort all your money out and make sure your in a safe place, 2 look back at your 3 years gamble free and see what’s different now to try and make a change. For example if your searching Dodgey online Casinos ect tell your son to change all passwords so you have no access to laptops or iPads etc, and 3 and this one was my biggest one. So I’ve been GF nearly 100 days but I found myself watching YouTube videos of people gambling right next year to my little girl. And it only hit home after talking on here that what’s that daddy’s watching if in 10 years time she has a gambling addiction because I set something off then that would kill me. And that mentally has stayed with me.

try going out for walks or find a new interest if that is possible.

we are all here to help and to help each other.

i hope some of the advice everyone has said will give you the strength to beat it.

stay safe
