Thank you Steven & Last Chance. Your kind words of support and encouragement make me ever more determined to remain gamble-free.
One of the valuable lessons I have learnt from Gamcare friends is that I will always be just one bet away from disaster and must be careful not to become complacent.
Probably I was aware of that in the past but addiction played games with my mind and led me to believe I wasn't really a gambling addict.
I know better than that now and if ever I am feeling vulnerable than I will visit the diaries.
This is all new ground to me because I have never been gamble-free for a year in my entire adult life. It feels a bit surreal.
So I will continue my recovery just one day at a time.
