Wow Iโm so surprised in myself - tomorrow will mark one whole month gambling free, one month of not constantly stressing and secretly crying. One month of no bad sleeps worrying about money and dreading any letters coming through the door about missed payments because I gambled the money away.
In the past two years I donโt think I had 30 days in total where I didnโt bet out of the 730, so this is HUGE for me. I think Iโm lucky though, on the day I decided to quit, itโs like something just switched in me. The idea of gambling (mine was slots online) just became boring, just seeing the screen do the exact same thing all the time. I decided I was done. Cut my losses, which I am thankful arenโt as much as some others Iโve seen (still thousands of pounds though)
Yesterday I took my son to the park - in the past Iโd be mentally elsewhere, stressing about the money Iโd lost the night before or about phoning a company I owed money to to ask for a deferred payment, but yesterday I could fully enjoy the time with my son and it meant a lot ๐
Just a little note to anyone who is still gambling - you willย neverย win.
