Although I never had a bet I did make the mistake in writing down what I would bet on and most of them won, so I’d of won a few quid, so won’t be doing that again. But it does feel good to have money in the bank for a change with not gambling it away! Unlucky day 13 GF.

Your have just put all your winnings into something else.

If it won = repeat

if it lost = increase stake to win it back until you go bust or you win

when you win = see above

Its a cycle we have to end. I often do the same and used to think “look how much I would’ve won” but now I accept I’d have wasted it all (and probably more) and I’m just happy when I’m right 🙂

Keep up the hard work and don’t beat yourself up about what could’ve been. Be honest, you’re better off not wining cos you don’t win til you stop.

I still watch sport and think such and such result will happen here and get regretful when it happens.

Then I remember it wont stop, if I spend even 1p on gambling it wont stop there and I then wake up and the urge goes.

The mere fact I still sigh when a bunch of favourites go in at a race meeting make me wonder if I will ever get over stopping gambling. It's a big miss in my life but the consequences of the cycle starting again drive me on to staying gf.

Funny how results seem to go in my favour when I don’t bet and GF, but I agree with you %100.

Hi

Yes be careful as your mind will be playing all sorts of tricks on you during the earlier cold turkey period. Oh that one would have won are dangerous thoughts. You need to focus on what happened to your finances and mental health when you were gambling away your money.

Its a drug addiction. Its not about being a clever gambler. The bookies arent setting odds so only clever people win...it doesnt work like that

I watched the slots videos as I was still getting some fix or connection to gambling from that. I dont watch them at all these days...not interested in the slightest

Let it go and it will fade over time. You dont need gambling in your life. There are better things to do and you will actually have some money about to do them with.

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
