Starting over again. Can anyone give me advice or recommendations on how I can get passed 10 days gamble free, I seem to fall of the bandwagon day between day 5-10. Anything at all that will help me bet this horrible addiction. It is ruining my relationship and my life.
These gambling adverts are everywhere, tv adverts ,social media, newspapers... everywhere.
Register for Gamstop, for the maximum time (get rid of the opportunity), then stop your access to money / credit (get rid of the means). Without means or opportunity, you can see all the adverts in the world, you are not able to gamble.
as someone who was in a very dark place 12 months ago, with a longstanding slots addiction, registering on Gamstop completely changed my life.
Block yourself as much as possible this is the only way. The urges may still be there but the means isn’t. I am at 43 days today and I still have urges but I have blocked myself so I cannot gamble.
You have to cut off all avenues and reinvent your life.realise this recovery is for life and then you will realise you have to change that life.
Like the others said put as many blocks in place as possible.give control of your money to someone else.if u aint got money u cant gamble
Know what u mean about tv adverts aswell.i cant watch a game on telly without seeing what feels like 50 adverts a game! It doesnt help but im not gonna let it put me off watching a sport i love
