Really good to see you back Holycrosser and absolutely right to delete that app.

I gambled on most things but I really loved the horses. Found myself watching the racing on ITV about 6 weeks and it was such a stupid thing to do. It would have been a slippery slope. I wasn’t in a great place mento but even so .

I try and avoid anything where I might even hear about racing.

i wake up to Radio 4 each morning but always make sure I’m not listening when they do the sport.

Agree, I’d got into a bad habit of listening to talk sport again, that will stop now.

we can do so much more to help ourselves mind, yet choose not to.you have to choose a different life.

Hi HC,

First of all well done & a fantastic achievement. What's happening tomorrow are you working, or are you off & maybe your wife's working. Premier league, good horse racing  ( if there's such a thing )., massive challenge. Maybe time alone, so keep busy, you recently mentioned seeing your sons new house. Why not have another look ?. Go for a run, or maybe a nice stroll but leave the debit card at home. I ain't going to lecture you because your previous posts tell me you're bright enough to figure this all out, including trigger points. I hope you post tomorrow after the full time whistle & another GF day is clocked up. I really want you to succeed.

Best Wishes

AL

Morning AL day 7, today I’m up early as we have a new  3 pc suit being delivered , could come between 7-7pm so I’m under orders to stay in, which is fine as online is a no chance for me.

so today I know I will be fine, lots of house stuff to do today, the place needs a good clean, plenty to keep me busy mate

day 10, so tired yesterday after a lot of booze the last few days, wrecked my body clock.

Day 12 begins , work keeping me busy, no online searches thankfully and lots of housework .

the days seem shorter when I’m busy, no gambling is the main victory.

Hi HC,

I'm sure i don't have to remind you how vulnerable those of us who are addicted to horse racing &  football gambling are on Saturdays. Keep busy, limit how much money you're carrying & leave the cards at home. You know the drill, you know the trigger points now it's about making the right decision.

Best Wishes

Thanks AL, Saturdays are actually easy to navigate, I’m with the wife and I can’t do online, my  dangers are through the week at work bored as I work on the road and have ample chances.

today it’s been fine, just listening to my team

Hi HC,

It's Monday already & you're back on the road. Maybe lunchtime you'll get a break & think "G" ( gambling ? ), hell no, think Greggs, nice pasty or pie & maybe a cuppa & whilst enjoying it think about all those times you entered a bookies or gambled online only to leave with less money than you started with. Enjoy your lunch mate.

Best Wishes

AL
