Both my husband and myself are compulsive gamblers but I feel that after losing £600 yesterday I need to start my own diary for myself instead of being a part of a couple. I know that he wouldn't gamble without me and vice versa but if  do this on my own then hopefully that'll make me stronger and be of a support for him. I need to fight my own demons and he needs to fight his. Today is day one and I will take this one day at a time. Reading your stories are like looking in a mirror at a reflection of me. Here's to being gamble free one day at a time.

well done, keeping a journal and self-reflecting on yourself is very helpful.

I look forward to reading your journey 🙂

Thank you diamondhandz for your reply. Knowing that someone is out there following my journey makes me feel so positive. I will try my best to post as often as I can and continue to read other recovery diaries for inspiration!

8 days since I last gambled. Felt a bit edgy with it being the weekend. Thank goodness for recovery diaries and everyone out there keeping me focused. It meant that today was GF for me. Best wishes to you all xxx
