Day 14 GF today and as yesterday was a complete emotional we write off i am feeling a bit better today after a better night sleep. Another long shift at work but day off tomorrow and councilling session scheduled.

Does anyone have any experience of paypal debts re gambling?Β  I am. I'm a negative balance and I have tried to email themΒ  regarding this but no response.

I know its my fault but at the time I didn't realise it didn't come out straight away and I had that amount of money in account to cover what I spent but then I didn't realise it a couple of days behind and in my mania spent more than I should have done way more. But I'm a worrier so any help would be much appreciated pleaseΒ

Good morning and yes I've done the same thing the dreaded PayPal reversal. I never realised the money wasn't enough in my account. All I can say is not to worry get in touch and explain the situation. They are very understanding. I made a offer of payment to what I could afford per month and everything is on schedule πŸ™‚ Well done in your recovery. Jay

Also please do not open another PayPal account in your name but different email. The computer software links old to new accounts and any money from eBay sales etc they freeze for 180 days. You will be left stranded πŸ™ haha I know I've done it.Β

I will be contacting Paypal at some point to warn them that a respected institution should not have links with gambling transactions. One day I feel this will blow and it will make the ppi scandal look like a vicars tea party in comparison. Its a scandal thats set to blow because its all just covered up so the dens and the government can rake massive amounts in. It should actually result in massive fines for any company financing gambling activity....HUGE fines

Your Aim TAFS is a born again moment and a serenity that you are doing the right thing.

Paypal like any othe finance company is a symptom of your gambling issue and you are not to overly worry about it for the sake of your health.

Yes they will come after you....why wouldnt they?...but they have to do everything legally and your debts will be a legal matter with consequences for repayment, court action or bankruptcy.

Now you have to realise that stopping gambling is your main issue and people will actually help if they know the facts. Its good that you are seeing reality because this is reality. When in your gambling haze the reality of where the money was coming from seemed distant...we have all been there.

Abstention complete honesty and a full recovery will save your life....Its that serious....let the debt companies do the worrying while you seek financial advice

Best wishes from evryone on the forum
