We are members of the gamcare family Scotty and at family get-togethers one usually enjoys good vibes and camaraderie with a little friction thrown in along with some laughter, smiles and a few tears.

The main thing is that we learn something from it all whilst giving each other support, guidance and encouragement.

Your presence in the chatroom and on the diaries always brightens up the proceedings and I have the utmost respect for your courage, honesty and openness. Keep up the good work my friend.

Scotty your doing great my friend.

Rome wasn't built in a day and it will take time for you to realise the full benefits of not gambling.

You will get good days and bad days so when you have a bad day just grit your teeth and get through it as best you can.

Your family love you as do your gamcare friends and we're not going anywhere.

Glad you enjoyed looking at the moon earlier in all its majesty. It was magic by the river.

That's how the old song goes "The Moon Belongs To Everyone - The Best Things In life Are Free."

Best wishes

Stephen x

Dear @scottydo71,

I am so sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment. I appreciate everything is more challenging for you, especially at the moment.

What can help at times like this is celebrate every tiny achievement. Look back from where you started four years ago. Take stock of all the things you CAN do now at this present moment. Remind yourself of the journey you have been on which I am sure was painful and grueling, but you are here, four years later and your family is grateful for that.

It might take a bit longer. Things might not be 100% the way they were before. But they have and will continue to improve.

It is not an easy time for any of us right now, and I can imagine it is all the more difficult for you. But please know you are not alone, we are here to support you every step of the way the best we can.

Please keep sharing and keep posting, please never feel you you are 'moaning' when you are feeling low and voice it.

Wishing you all the very best,

Eva

You're doing very well! Keep the clear head, peaceful heart and soul intact. We all will get through this difficult time. For now we need to aknowledge every little mercy out there...eg. no gambling incidents...That is really positive.

Stay safe, committed and be kind to you

Good to see you in the chatroom Scotty. Great people in there and a good mixture of advice, ideas and some good humour as well.

Hope you got the dogs cleaned up ok after today's walk. ? ??

Working on a farm all your life you will have got used to all the different aromas but I do wonder why dogs like to roll around in fox poo because it does whiff a bit.?? lol

Best wishes
