Hope everyone is ok just going to have a Custard doughnut that always seems to cheer me up I think I’ll give up on the diet at the moment.

So sorry to read of Scottie's broken leg. Hope he is soon recovered. I like the picture on your profile.

Sorry also to read of someone close to you passing away. Bereavements are sad but its nice to remember all the good times you shared with her.

Respect to you dear friend for staying strong through all the turmoil you have experienced during the last 442 gamble free days. You have been a great inspiration to me.

Dear @scottydogg

I’m so sorry to read what a difficult time you’ve been through. Please never feel like you are letting anyone down if you are not posting and you are not present. All that matters is that you focus on your own wellbeing.

Scottydogg, you matter and the people around you care about you and we care about you. Please don’t ever feel that your family would be better off without you. All the care and support that you experience from your wife comes from a place of love.

Please make sure that you fully engage with the support you are receiving now to get the most out of it and ultimately to help you feel better about yourself and understand how much you are worth and how much people care about you.

Thank you very much for this update. I appreciate that it probably wasn’t easy. Just take your time and know that we will be always here to support you.

Wishing you all the very best,

Fay

Ah Scotty,  sounds like things have been tough. I know  first hand what its like to try and take your life and fail, but I'm glad your still here. You were very supportive to me before I left 6 months ago and il never forget that. I often think the same with my partner, couldn't understand why he stayed when I gambled, have bad mental health etc but guess they truly do love us.

IM glad your getting help and weldone for staying gamble free despite everything. Really hope things get easier for you. Take care

Pleased you are still visiting the diaries Scotty and very impressed with your commitment to stopping gambling. By the end of this month you will be over 500 days without a bet and that is a wonderful achievement.

Hope Scottie's broken leg has healed and you are able to go for walks together.

It is good that you are enjoying watching the Euros. Wales did themselves proud ?.

Take good care of yourself Scotty. You are always in the thoughts of your gamcare friends and we are all cheering you on.

Well it’s been a month and I am now starting to feel better about myself I have always been a bit wary of taking medication and to be labelled with depression but I wish I had taken it a lot sooner had phone call with my psychotherapist and she said was I depress from gambling or was I because I gambled I was not sure as I always thought it was the same thing but I as I had not gambled in over 1 year I guess I had not really Dealt with it I stopped and thought it  I would be that until you get the nightmares and sleepless nights but igambling goes deeper you can just stop and think I will be ok now  I had I put it down to me being bored stuck at home because of my stroke and the medication I was on took me to place I never want to go again it’s not all better I am still trying to like myself again but take each day as it comes to end on a cheerful note (as I have to find a positive) we are going on holiday to cornwall for few days with dogs which we are looking forward to thanks everyone scotty??

Wishing you happy days and good adventures in Cornwall Scotty. A change is as good as a rest and it is an awesome place to visit.

You are now over 500 days gamble-free which is a wonderful achievement.

I know you are not one to sing your own praises Scotty but I do believe you are magnificent. A human being with integrity who has conquered adversity time and time again. You have the heart of a lion and have shown yourself to be a man of courage and honour.

Respect to a good man
