Thank you for visiting my diary Scotty. A week has passed since your seizure and bad fall. I hope you are feeling better in yourself and have had no more accidents.

It has been been raining all day here so I have been catching up on housework. I know it's a job for the ladies but I live alone so have to do it ???.

Looking forward to seeing friends tomorrow morning (Wednesday) 10 to 11 in the Peeraid chatroom.

Everybody is welcome to ask questions, get involved in discussions or simply sit and observe.

No pressure whatsoever.

Chatmod Steve is a knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding compulsive gambler who is over 5 years away from his last gamble.

Pets are welcome.

Everyone is allowed to bring their own refreshments.

Dress is smart casual, scruffy or suited up to the nines.

Scantily clad persons are welcome but please respect the feelings of others and do not mention your state of undress to other members of the group

Wishing everyone a good gamble free Tuesday

Thank you for visiting Scotty. I have posted a reply on your diary.

Hello Diary.

Early on it was real dull but now blue skies do beckon

So I will head off for a stroll or that is what I reckon ???.

RIP:  Bobby Ball & Sean Connery.

I am 70 and they have been there entertaining all my adult life.

Very sad but a reminder that we are all here for a relatively short time and need to live our lives to the full whilst enjoying all the ups and downs which we may encounter.

I don't know if they have television in heaven but if they do than I think I know who will soon be appearing on heaven's "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here."

Love and best wishes to all on the diaries.

Many of my thoughts and prayers this month will be for gamcare friends who are suffering due to the lockdown.

Although we may not interact on a personal level, we do have a special bond and are together in hearts and minds.

My musical choice this evening is "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge.

Thank you for visiting my diary Scotty.

A very sad day for everyone I think.

I went to Hull's aquarium and naturally all the staff are upset because most of them will be off work for the next four weeks. The fish & penguins didn't seem bothered but I imagine they will find it strange having no visitors.

When I arrived home my neighbour was packing a few things to go and stay with friends. Said he couldn't stand being alone for the next 4 weeks.

I am fine personally and being retired have nothing to worry about. Food shops are going to be open and I can go for walks and chat to the ducks in the old dock and marina.

Not many ducks in the Marina lately but I have noticed oil/paint in the water a few times and the ducks wont like that.

Still 10 or 12 paddle around the old dock which is nice. During lockdown I will take them oats every day because they like that and it stays afloat for about a minute. There is also a lot of fish in there so the fish eat the oats that sink.

Sometimes throw them dried mealworm. The gulls go crazy for that and if they happen to be flying around the ducks don't get near it ???.

I hope the ducks don't get stressed during the lockdown because they tend to quack under pressure ???.

Thank you for visiting my diary Zoe. Hope you are having a pleasant weekend.

Hello Diary.

Very sad last night on my walk to the pier as there was a man threatening to jump in the river. Three fishermen close by plus 11 people from the emergency services in attendance and a boat from the coastguard drifting offshore. I observed the proceedings for half an hour which was upsetting. He drank a few cans of something whilst chain smoking and hurling abuse at the police. I assume it was resolved peacefully as nothing in the Hull news this morning.

There seems to be a lot of sadness around these days, which I imagine is down to the lockdown, peoples uncertainties and worries about the future.

No point worrying about things, just got to get on with life as best one can.

No point directing anger at innocent people because we are all in this together.

Best if everyone treats everyone and all the world with kindness, compassion and respect.

Ready to dance ? wearing a smile ? healthy fit and able

This old man is gamble free and a knight of the gamcare table

Banished gambling from my life so stand here proud and strong

With heart and soul leading me to the place where I belong

Love and best wishes to all on the diaries

?  ?  ?  LOVE AND BEST WISHES TO MY GAMCARE FAMILY  ?  ?  ?.

We are determined to rediscover ourselves and we will succeed.

We are on a life saving mission and we will free ourselves from the scourge of gambling.

We are Gamcare Warriors & Gamcare Warrioresses and we are proud of who we are.

Hello Diary.

Hull has been top of the national Covid Infection Table for the previous week. It is the first time we have topped any league so I am feeling quite chuffed ???.

Will have to be a bit careful though. Going out shortly for a walk round the marina and waterfront before getting a few groceries. Will enjoy feeding the ducks in the old dock and than relaxing by the river for a while.

Avoiding the lift in my flats is not a problem when going out but climbing 12 flights of stairs on my return is a major challenge ? ?‍♂️?.

I am not usually one to complain but I have had a good moan to the council because only one lift has been working for the last week. It  is serving 112 flats and people just go piling in it without a care in the world (and very few bother wearing a mask).

Pleased to have got that off my chest.

Best wishes gamcare friends on the official World Kindness Day.

Spare some time to send out loving thoughts into the world and to be kind to all sentient beings, including ourselves.

I am just going to visit the Peeraid Chatroom.
