Pleased to say that Aum is in a jolly mood

Posts by gamcare legends inspired this GF dude

Dan is celebrating day one thousand two hundred and eighty

A man of courage and valour who is somewhat large and weighty

Our Vinnie is now settled in her comfy new abode

A heroine with vision (279 days) walking the gamcare road

We are all brothers and sisters

Fighting to be free

This gamcare army soldiers on

For it is our destiny

To walk this road together

Arm in arm as one

Fist raised to the heavens

Singing the victory song

Many thanks for posting on my diary Vinnie & Dan.

Hello Diary.

Went shopping in Primark yesterday for autumn/winter clothes. Sadly I have put weight on and am now extra large.

Was getting fed up of squeezing into large size and have given up on my plan to lose a few pounds ??? and the good news is I got some real bargains.

Today went for a walk to the waterfront, round the marina and finished at the old dock under the shopping centre.

Tomorrow will look for some duck food that floats for longer than the oats I have been using. A few of the ducks wanted it all today so were trying to chase the other ducks away but in doing so most of the oats sank and they all ended up with very little.

I will visit Home Bargains or Aldi tomorrow and see what they have got. Maybe get dried dog food or mealworm.

Wishing all on the diaries a super duper weekend

Good evening my dear friend,

It was so lovely to see that you had popped into my diary, thank you! Although I don't post on my diary, I remember all of my GC friends and have you close to my heart. I am not too far the other side of your magnificent bridge in Hull ☺️.

Keep well my friend. I will no doubt pay my diary a visit in a couple of weeks when I hit the old milestone x

Murlo xx

Thank you Murlo & Scotty for posting on my diary.

I have been very fortunate in meeting many lovely people on the gamcare diaries and for that I will be eternally grateful. You have all helped me turn my life around and although I still have a few faults I am in a far better place than I was on arriving here.

Love and best wishes to you all

Stephen x x x

Ps.

Queues are starting to form for the 10 o clock Peeraid Chatroom but there is plenty of room and everyone is observing covid precautions.

Refreshments are not provided but everyone is welcome to bring snacks/drinks and pets are allowed.

If anyone fancies a chat about anything than that is the place to be this morning.

Chat mod Steve (5+ years gamble free) has just been on a training course so might have a few tips for us.

I was shocked just now reading a news article to learn that a baby is lost in 1 out of 4 pregnancies in the UK.

The article is by a lady called Nicky who is a bereavement support worker for Sands.

She lost her baby 10 years ago, half way through the pregnancy and tells of the terrible grief she has lived with and how some friends avoided her because they just didn't know what to say.

This is Baby Loss Awareness week which is supported by the stillborn and neonatal death charity Sands.

It reminded me of the time my dear departed mum told me of her elder sister who died at a very young age.

My mum remembers hearing family members years afterwards discussing how they told her mam to get pregnant again straight away to help cope with the grief but all my mam could think at the time was that they only had her as a replacement for the baby that was lost.

So much pain and heartache for so many people in such distressing circumstances.

My thoughts and prayers this evening are with gamcare friends who have been affected by the loss of a young life.

Redemption don't come easy for this sad and lonely sinner

Who threw away the hard earned cash and rarely backed a winner

But than I found this gamcare road with friends to left and right

And knew deep down within my heart that things would be alright

Haha thank you Charlieboy ???. Hope you are having a good day and best wishes for a fun weekend.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I will be seventy years old.

Determined to make a day of it and celebrate in style though my options are somewhat limited with pesky corona bugs in the air.

It might turn out to be more a case of visitations from the ghosts of birthdays past ???.

Treated myself to a pair of camouflage trousers yesterday but cant find them anywhere ???.

Love and best wishes to gamcare friends
