This is my day 6 of been GF, but my first weekend, can’t say it’s been easy but it hasn’t, really struggled Saturday, even tried to open a new account with a well known website but luckily I registered with Gamstop. I know i should be positive with not gambling but I think of the money I might be winning. I’m hoping the first few weeks/months are the hardest and it does get easier? Β Suppose I’ll find out sooner or later.Β

Well done on 6 days gambling free. As you have found weekends can be particularly hard and when things are difficult it can be easy just to think about winning, however in recovery it is obviously helpful to remember your losses and any debts and focus on the negative impacts gambling has had in your life.

What helped me in the first few weeks was to plan stuff for the weekends,go out during "peak" betting times 1pm to 5pm , just get away from a screen.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice, I did go out for a while. It’s just very difficult watching sports and not wanting a gamble. Especially when they win. Gamstop has helped, but I’m reading there’s ways to get round it πŸ™
