So, I joined this site this morning at around 3am because I felt hopeless. I have £4.92 available in my bank account (that's the last money left from my £2000 overdraft) and that's it. I'm getting letters from payday loan companies saying I haven't paid and I'm being charged default late fees thus making my situation even worse.

I was meant to be going on holiday with my gf and convinced her to send me £2000 and paid off a bunch of debts with it, yet with constant gambling of any extra money I have I'm back to square one. I owe her £7000 and I want to give her the world not take more money from her.

So this is it, the restart of my life. I've got in touch with StepChange who are a debt charity and I have the forms in front of me for a DMP. It says it'll take 3 years to pay off my debts which I'm okay with because I won't be sick to my stomach wondering how I'm going to get money to pay my bills and then spending £100 on betting tennis because I reckon I can turn it into £1000 to pay off my debts.

I'm excited to be a shadow of my former self. I want to be happy and enjoy life, I need new hobbies to distract me from the temptations of wanting to gamble so if anyone has any recommendations throw them my way.

Currently I'm a miserable, moody person who is really lucky to have a girlfriend who sticks by me through thick and thin. I feel awful all the time and suffer bad with mental health issues all because of this sickening illness.

This is day 1 of forever of not gambling.
