Hey kaskade well done for not giving in. How long do you think the high of gambling would have lasted? Not as long as the low of gambling feeling like you've let yourself and others down. No good would have come from gambling you know it that's why you logged on here. That's what it's here for  to vent when you have urges well done for resisting tomorrows another day. Best wishes

Gambling doesnt relieve the stress it causes it ten fold. Get your head out of the sand... How does gambling make you feel at the end of the day? If the answer was «it makes me feel wonderful», you wouldnt be here. Gamble again and you know where it leads. Its time we all get this into our minds.

Hi Abby

Initially it can be really tough as we are so used to spending our time gambling we have forgotten what else to do with our time. Probably like me, you have lost interest in all the things you use to do before gambling took over and now have lots of time with nothing to fill it. As each day passes, it does get better but it’s not just about refraining from gambling it’s about making changes to the way we think, the way we fill our time and about discovering who we are again. If someone asked me five months ago what I enjoyed doing in my free time,I wouldn’t have been able to give them an answer because honestly I didn’t know myself. The only thing that would come to mind would be gambling and I certainly wouldn’t have shared that with anyone. Now 147 days gf, if someone asked me I would say what free time! Of course in reality I have lots of free time but it's filled with things that I have rediscovered I enjoy like reading, cooking, watching films, playing pool, the list goes on... These are all things that I hadn’t done for years but my one piece of advice to anyone is don’t just view it as you need to stop gambling. Of course you need to stop but to stay stopped you have to make changes, otherwise the reason you gambled in the first place will still be there.

I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Lively
