Hi

You must be strong and realise you were letting these machine take over from the real pleasures in life

You must find an interest and a real hobby. There is plenty to do and its about fighting back from the jaded and bored mind that thought it would get its fix from machines. I was jaded and depressed with life and I realise that now

They are deviously designed and I know exactly what you are talking about when you refer to the new games. I know the game you mentioned and it promotes escape and warmth while at the same time cleaning you out. Just like a smiling salesman who is actually cleaning you out. Its part of the human condition and we fall for it when stressed, lost, lonely or depressed. I was playing for escape and I threw away thousands and thousands of pounds.

I played them for forty years and clearly see that all they really did was cause misery.

I really cant believe I did it because there are plenty of enjoyable things to do.

With the blocks in place you will slightly rattle for a little while and you may go through stages of anger or confusion before you plateau with calmness and serenity. I think we have a right to feel angry at the industry because it focuses our will to fight the misery it caused. We cant let it eat us up though and calmness is your ultimate goal and putting it all behind you

Being gamble free is a wonderful and proud feeling

Best wishes

tKeep strong Katiecoo, we are both approaching Day 6 - nearly a week! Think of the cash you're gonna start to accumulate and a fantastic holiday you and your family'll be able to go on... Yes, actually go on, and a good holiday too 🙂 It's about dreaming about the possibilities you'll have with the cash you've saved....

Hi Katie and well done on your gf days, they soon start to mount up. You will start to feel better with the gambling out of your life, I'm 69 days gf today and starting to like myself again after looking in the mirror and not recognising the person looking back at me but that's what gambling does it takes over your finances and your personality. Keep yourself occupied and stay strong, best wishes on your recovery x

You got it, Katiecoo and you know what, soon you'll be rewarded with cash to spend, because that is what will happen. Just think, imagine, the possibilities of a wealthier 2017. I am on this journey with you, because I believe you can do this and I know you have faith I can do this !

That's great Katiecoo and you've proofed beyond measure you can give up an addiction.

We are all approaching our first week of not gambling. We are serious, this is it, me, you and KP, flying the flag for a better, happier life. We all know the battle ahead. But at moments of weakness will remember the solid, amazing bond we have and the collective strength of resolve we have.

Let's chalk another day off today!

Good effort Katie. 1 week! Now you can make it 2.

You know that dream of winning you had? It's just a dream that'll turn into a nightmare.

It's not easy, but we CAN and we WILL

Yes it's the slippery slope to doom. 2 more days for you KP... 🙂 stay strong and think of all the opportunities to put right the past. I for one owe it to my family, it will take a bit longer to owe it to myself and to regain my self respect x
