well here we are again ... Groundhog Day . It’s been a long journey and I have fallen off the wagon and all the way back to square 1 . Time to dust myself off and start again!
I can do this , I will not be beaten . This time I know deep down there is only 1 winner and that is me , I work too hard to give my money away !
looking forward to day 2 and the rest of my gamble free life!

Nice one Tom.  Wish you luck mate.  Don't forget that if online gambling is your poison to do two things:

One, go to Gamstop ( CLICK HERE ) that will stop you registering with online betting companies (choose the '5 year' option when banning yourself).

Two, get Gamban for free ( CLICK HERE ) and download it to all devices you use.  That makes sure you can't even access the gambling sites!!! (Again, select the 5 year option).

Between the two, you're covered.  And, best of all, the two things above will take you no longer than 15 minutes to set up!

Good luck mate.

Thank you, I will do both of those today . Really appreciate all the support on this site , everyone has a common issue and the help and support offered is very much needed . This is day 2 and I am looking forward to fighting back and moving on with my life . My kids haven’t deserved this and life so far has been full of regrets . Time for me to step up!

No thoughts about betting today , I have contacted Gamstop and waiting for confirmation I am excluded , looking forward to that email . Life can then start to look up and my thoughts and energy focused elsewhere rather than looking for a “certain win” at the bookies. It’s only day 2 but I’m putting barriers in place and have never felt so focused .

Start of day 3 , I hope people don’t mind me posting each day but I need to come here each day to keep me going .
Saturday is always a tough day due to the amount of sport but I will enjoy my day gamble free , watch the cricket , football and UFC later and not gamble 1p . This is my 1st real test and il come through it and move on , 1 day at a time and already 3 days without a bet is making me feel positive about the future .

Hi Tom,

Yes, keep posting, once a day is good, doesn't have to be a long message, just a check in.

I'll do a deal with you today. I won't gamble 1p if you don't. Just for today, not a penny. Deal?

I will check back tomorrow.

Sounds good?

Roch

Hi Roch

that’s a deal we can do everyday ! Yesterday was a good day watched a lot of football with no urge to bet and actually enjoyed the games. Day 5 today and I feel a huge sense of achievement, when you struggle to be gamble free for an hour or 2 you never ever believe you could go a day or certainly 4-5 days so this is A good start. I’m under no illusions this is th start and I need to keep going , I know how bad I was and really suffered with this addiction to a point it totally took over my life so even just 5 days is a great feeling though not enough !
payday on Wednesday which would usually be me looking forward to big money bets but not anymore ! Not the new gamble free me

Keep going everyone and thanks for reading my journey

That's good Tom. I'm really serious about this though.  You've got a payday coming and so have I. I've got Gamstop and Gamban applied ... so making sure the blocks are in place.  I'm hoping your blocks are in place too.  You must stop gambling and I must stop gambling too.  So, here we go.  Another day we both decide not to gamble.  Day 5 for you, Day 14 for me.  Let's do this, one day at a time. No more than that!

Thanks Roch , day 6 now . Those days are ticking by now and it feels great to say we haven’t had a bet . I have watched so much sport over the past few days and the difference not having bet on them makes it so much enjoyable !
let’s keep going! We have the momentum now and we must keep positive and keep up the hard work , it is difficult for us but if we stick together it’s a problem shared ?
