I just had a mini setback that actually turned out positive. When I gamble I want to do it instantly, and if I can’t I don’t constantly feel the urge. For example if I set deposit limits I don’t bother changing them because I don’t want to wait 24 hours. When I have no money, I don’t want to gamble. Yesterday I learned (after 6 years with a problem) that your bank can block gambling sites. After losing £700 (which is sadly not a “bad” loss I went to the dentist today and found out my treatment will cost £1300. Instinctively I decided I needed to win back the £700 to be able to pay that. I have just under £1000 in my bank account and went on to a site and tried to put £500 in, £500 that I know I would somehow lose, whether today or in the future. I instantly got declined and remembered the block I put on my card when I was feeling really down yesterday. I am grateful that I was able to block it, and I know it is not my struggle over, but I am glad it is a step in the right direction.
Unfortunately my thoughts have now turned to going to a casino, and this is one I hope I can keep myself away from (I don’t even know if casinos are open at the moment so am telling myself they can’t be).

Glad you stopped on £700, and blocked the card, probably you would have emptied your account like most of us around here.
Once I even took a loan to use that money for casinos? won with it almost 10000 more just to lose it all, and the extra money?
I guess once you lose touch of moneys worth it's hard to even feel bad about losses, as after all "one spin" and we get it all back and more right? Just to lose it all again?

Well done for stopping and blocking your card. Not easy! These days I never stop until the money is all gone so I need to stop altogether.
