Hi Billy,

We’re all in this together! What barriers have you got in place to stop yourself gambling?

Keep us updated.

Thanks!

Ive used Gam stop to exclude all accounts for 5 years. Which was a big step for me. Also when I was low I’ve made a note of how I felt at that time so It sort of works as a wake up call when I read it so I can realise why I’m doing this. I’ve looked back and I’ve probably been addicted for 12 years and haven’t really thought of it as a problem. Which sounds weird. But the last year it has got worse and I’ve realised I just can’t gamble sensible. So the only option is to not do it at all.

I’m going to keep this updated as reading other people’s storys made me make the first step.

Good luck, my biggest advice I’m learning is that this is a commitment for life, make no mistake about it this has to be it, no more gambling , no lottery tickets, no work sweepstakes nothing. You have to change your life in truth, I’m in debt and on a very long road but today is another to chalk up and I hope one day I’m doing my 1000th day because I will be well on my way to being debt free by then, stick around keep focused, keep telling yourself you don’t need to gamble.

Thanks @rams !

Day 13! Nearly 2 weeks. Feeling a lot better already. Finances get me down sometimes, but 2 years and I’ll be debt free. I will beat this!

Well done Billy

Take it one day at a time. We all get down about our losses but over time the debt will decrease. Keep strong.
