Christmas cards from the casino

Over the past 3 weeks I’ve managed to occupy myself and slowly found myself hardly ever thinking about gambling. So I feel I’ve been doing really well.

And last night I received a hand written Christmas card form an online casino that I self excluded myself from offering me free casino spins. I never caved and ripped it up straight away. But sure I shouldn’t be reciveing any communication from them. If I got that a few weeks ago I know I would of tried to log on.

Had anyone else had issues with casinos contacting them when excluded?

Mr L had an approach by post after SE'ing. Amazing how prone these bookies can be to 'database malfunctions'.

He rang them with me listening to prove to me that the account was closed and SE'd and after that he sent them written instructions by post never to contact him again by any means for any reason. So far so good.

If they do get uppity a threat to report them to the Gambling Commission should get them back in the box fairly sharpish.

Hi I agree report them, if you get anymore send it to the gambling commission. I emailed the gambling commission and asked about this. They replied saying they wanted to know who and proof. If we all do nothing, nothing will change.

So this all turned out to be a fault on my side. I had only self excluded myself for 3 weeks aposed to years. I found this out after my partner contacted the casino for me. They have since apologised and exclude me for the maximum time and wished me luck. Thankfully I didn’t use it as an excuse to fall back into old ways.
