31 days gamble free. A really good start and the time has gone in a flash. I have had no urges whatsoever and I am sure the next 6 months will be easy to avoid any traps.

I am waking up thinking of football rather than horrible financial losses, so that's a step forward!! Still hits me from time to time though, the weight of the financial hammering. Still, a lot worse things going on in the world then that.

47 days gamble free. So busy at work and at home that I'm wondering how I ever had the time for gambling. Crazy. Feeling OK though generally.

60 days gamble free - feels good. A nice round number - a couple of months.

Just at the start of the recovery road, but I'm in such a better place than I was this time 12 months ago.

No urges, so onwards and upwards 🙂

199 days! Wow

I thought I'd check to see how many days it has been. Almost 200 is great, but I will not get complacent. I was at about this stage last year when I relapsed. But the good news is, there is zero chance I am making the same mistake this time around. I want to see 399,  599, 1099, 3099 days gamble free.

Guys, there is no coming back. I have relapsed dozens of times over the years and gambling has crept back - just small bets this time, monthly limits etc. But once an addict ALWAYS an addict. So no going back either.

Total abstinence is the only way - trust me. Onward and upwards!

Hi detrimental, really well done. I agree with you that abstinence is the way, I never managed to control gambling, it's like offering a drink to an alcoholic, I know others have differing opinions and they are entitled but I feel like you abstinence with my good barriers has got me to 9months gamble free and I intend to do everything to keep it that way. You have set yourself realistic goals and I'm sure you will carry on achieving. Best wishes, carry on the good work

370 days today. Over a year is great - No urges and still angry about losing so much last year. However, what I have earned this year has been mine & for the family and not wasted, so brilliant.

The only advice I can give anyone reading this today, is that TOTAL abstinence is the ONLY way of controlling problem gambling. If you're an addict, do it by any means possible.

501 days gamble free now and I'm feeling strong and resilient. No more for me - here's to another gamble free year!

Never forget that it is so easy to get sucked back in! When I think of the financial damage over the years, it's truly sickening. Like I say, no more :-).

599 days gamble free. I am so pleased and just love to see this number getting bigger and bigger! Every extra day is fantastic for any of us and I'm just going to keep on keeping on gamble free!

Remember, the longer gamble free you are, the impact of what has happened in the past affects you less. The danger with this is complacency and thinking that if you go back to gambling, things will be different. This might be the case to begin with, but ultimately any compulsive gambler will undoubtedly fail again, probably worse than the previous occasion.

All the best on your journey everyone!

626 days - getting on for 2 years gamble free and feeling great about that. Money is going out faster than it's coming in at the moment, so how on earth I had money to burn on gambling beats me!! It really is a puzzler! No doubt the recession is kicking in.

Here's a tip - never gamble!! 🙂

Hi

626 days gamnbling free that is very powerful all those healthier days not hurting your self.

You are feeling great about that, can you reach a point where you are proud of your self.

Money is going out faster than it’s coming in at the moment, welcome to the real world.

They say Money talks the only thing is says to me is good bye.

Just for us never gamble again in our life.

That is very powerful thought.

To never ever have to escape in our fears again.

Love and peace to every one.
