Dear Diary. Day 39 free.
This morning I had counselling and it was a really difficult session. Completely necessary though. I only have to wait until Tuesday for my next session as counsellor didn’t want leave much of a gap. I have some homework/things to do before the next session. One is to read a book called “The drama of a gifted child” by Alice Miller. I have downloaded and it will make a start tonight.
I haven’t really thought about much else today, nor done much to be honest but that is ok. Thank you a boo and drama for lifting my mood in chat, you are just legends x.
Oh, been as far as the polling station and got P**s wet through ?.
I am going to cook a special meal for me and hubby tonight. I love cooking, he loves eating. We are a match made in heaven ?.
Evening Diary.
Prepared a simple but lovely meal for me and hubby tonight, roasted sea bass. Nothing special but it was cooked to perfection if I say so myself. I am absolutely loving having hubby home, just to know he is here is wonderful. I think we both know that today I have a bit of a hangover from my counselling. It will pass.
I talked with hubby tonight about my trip to the bookies. He is upset, not because I went to the bookies ( he is actually proud of me for not betting) but because of the underlying reason that I went. It is hard to get the balance right at the mo about how much I tell him. We will get that right over time I guess.
Early start tomorrow for an important day at work so hoping to get my head down soon. Goodnight all x

I actually managed to get to sleep at a good time last night. Off to work now. I need to be on top form at work today, it could be a challenging day.

Go forth and conquer ?
As per our chat, this is my jumper choice. It's a red machine knitted one with a roll neck. The pattern is in white. The sleeves have snowflakes on and the front is two robins kissing under the mistletoe with a little love heart and Christmas trees and stuff. It's pretty. I'm also wearing my red and white ankle boot indoor slippers with Rudolph on. My jeans are just them cargo ones from yesterday. It's only Christmas Jumper day not actual Christmas yet!

My hubby has fished out one of his less blokey jumpers with a cute reindeer and snowflakes on so I shall be wearing that later.

Dear Diary, I have only just noticed that I have reached 40 days gamble free. Where has the time gone?
Work was tough today. Not technically, but emotionally. I am working on something that is a bit close to the bone at the moment and it can challenge my resilience at times. My boss is not aware that I might find some of what I am doing a bit difficult at the mo as I have not let her know about my issues. If it feels as though it is getting too tough, I will tell her.
I have had a long lovely soak in the bath. Hubby ran it for me and put a couple of drops of bergamot in. I love bergamot, so relaxing.
Started the book that the counsellor recommended and it is making some sense to be honest. I will persevere.
The Xmas jumper is on. Hubby is wearing one too (a little crude to describe) and we are planning a quiet night in by the fire, a few drinks and a couple of games of scrabble. My idea of bliss.
I want to be awake early enough in the morning to send my best wishes to Drama on her special day ?
