Hello everyone 🙂
So I first admitted my problem on this site 44 days ago - honestly when I wrote my first post I was so worried it was going to be in vain and I would end up relapsing, BUT I HAVEN'T! 🙂
I haven't actually found it all that hard tbh, like everyone else I have had moments (only ever at night) where the idea has flickered in my brain and once or twice I've come on to speak to the really helpful team on live chat.
For the first time in my life I have savings, I have paid for all my sons birthday presents in cash and that honestly feels SO good - speaking as someone who used to put things like that on credit so I'd have more cash to gamble with. Even writing that makes me feel ashamed, but hey ho, can't dwell on the past!
I've taken full control of my finances, no longer wake up with that awful feeling of not knowing how much I lost and feeling absolutely sick when I checked my online banking, having to think about taking out another loan to get through the month.
If I knuckle down and carry on how I have been then realistically my gambling debt will be gone early 2022 and I'm also saving up to take my son on a dream holiday in a few years and this is something I am really excited about, not putting any of it on credit, just my own hard earned cash 🙂
Good luck everyone!

Thank you.... yes we are more than this.... I really hope myself and others like urself do it. I've installed Gamban and going to hand all finances over to my other half. Also close down any unused bank accounts. Small steps but 1 day not gambling. ??x
